ADMISSION PROCEDURE RULES
1. Admissions to the courses offered by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University are
done either through Law -SAT/ Subharti University Entrance Test (SUET) or on the
basis of merit in the qualifying examination, spot test and interview.
2. If seats remain vacant after Entrance examination in any course and students
are not available in the waiting list made on the basis of marks obtained in the
Entrance Examination, admissions will be made from another list made considering
the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, spot test and interview conducted
by the University.
A notification will be issued in News Papers and will also be posted at the website
of the University regarding the date of spot test and interview along with other
relevant details to the examination. The applicant will be required to come on the
specified place and date along with all the original certificates and fee of the
course, to be deposited then and there, if selected.
3. General Rules of Admission
- Admissions are offered by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University to the Following
categories of Students:
- General Category – Indian Nationals
- NRI / Foreign National Category – Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Indian Nationals sponsored
by NRIs – as per policy of the Government.
- A student is required to have attained age of 17 years by 31st Dec. of the year
of admission in all graduation courses after 10+2.
- Maximum age for the admission in B.A. LL.B is 21 years on the 1st
January in the year of admission for General and 23 years for SC/ST/OBC. categories
- The form annexed with this brochure is for students applying for Merit based admissions
or SUET. Students appearing in various other entrance exams will have to fill the
form prescribed for them separately.
- Fee deposited for any course shall not be refunded after the start of the course,
however a part of the fee deposited after deducting the processing charges may be
refunded after the start of the course. If the student gets a seat in some other
course run by the university within the time schedule for admissions, full or a
part of fee may be transferred to that course as per the policy of the university.
- Student who has passed the qulifying examination from any other country will have
to produce equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities. Any
other conditions laid down by the central government shall also be followed

4. How to procure application form:
The application forms for ‘Merit Based Admissions’ and SUET can be obtained by paying
application fee of a sum of Rs. 500/- Cash or DD in Favour of ‘Swami Vivekanand Subharti
University’ payable at Meerut, from the office of the University or from
the places advertised through the News Papers or shown in University website. The
application form can also be obtained by post by paying and additional amount of
Rs. 50/- as postage. Information Brochure is supplied free along with the application
form.
Entrance Examination forms for L-SAT will be available as per the link on home page
of the college.
5. List of selected candidates will be placed on the notice board of University
Central Office accordingly. University is not responsible to inform the candidate

6. LL.M ( 2 Years Full Time Regular Course ) Minimum eligibility for admission
in LL.M. is B.A.LL.B. /LL.B. degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
7.LL.M (Evening 3 Years Course) Candidate should be BA.LL.B./ LL.B from a
recognized institute with a minimum of two years of service or practice experience.
One should be in service or in practice to get admission in this scheme.
8.M.Phil ( 1 Year Full Time Course ) The admission in M. Phil course will
be through entrance test followed by personal interview to be conducted by the Department/University
every year.
9. Minimum eligibility for admission to Master of Philosophy is Postgraduate degree
in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% from a recognized university.
10. Ph.D. (2year Duration Course) minimum eligibility for admission ‘LL.M. with
minimum 55% marks or M. Phil’ after University entrance or NET
11. LL.D (by thesis duration 1 ½ year) minimum eligibility for admission is Ph.D.
in Law (Proposed)
